About Rich & Sons RV
On March 20th, 2006 Richard Hiser; our founder, father, grandfather and friend, passed on. He left a great legacy with Rich & Sons. He was described by fellow business colleagues as being an honest, admirable, positive and caring man. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Many years ago Rich Hiser had a dream. He dreamed of starting a successful business that he and his family could build from the ground up. In 1972, Rich and his family members started selling and servicing campers in a location just north of Grand Island, NE. Rich’s dream of giving his children and grandchildren a place where they could spread their wings and see how high they could fly was beginning to come true. In 1974 the family business moved to S. Hwy 281 and was renamed “Rich & Sons Camper Sales” in 1976.
Rich and his family spent most of their waking hours building this family business. They not only spent all week selling and servicing RVs, but on weekends the families would load up a camper & go camping as a Camping Club Sponsor. This was the best of both worlds; spending time with the family plus getting out and promoting the RV Lifestyle. This was a way to get to know the people that had given Rich & Sons the chance to be their RV dealer. Many changes have occurred over the years. Rich would be proud to see his grandsons, Tony and Nick running the family business while Chuck and Lana are enjoying retirement and their grandchildren.
Over the years of being in business the family has made many friends and encourage them to stop in and say hi, even if they aren’t in the market for a new RV. Rich used to stop by off and on to have a cup of coffee and say hi to the team that helped build his dream into reality. If you were to ask him if all the hard work was worth it, you’d hear him say, “Darn right, seeing those kids and grandchildren running the business makes me proud!” Rich was very proud to have been a part of starting a business that improves the quality of family life.
Rich & Sons RV is centrally located in Nebraska:180 miles east of North Platte and 100 miles west of Lincoln.
