On March 20, 2006 Richard Hiser; our founder, father, grandfather, & friend passed on. He left a great legacy in Rich & Sons. He was described by fellow business colleagues as being an honest, admirable, positive and caring man. He will be missed by all who knew him.

Many years ago Rich Hiser had a dream. He dreamt of starting a successful business that he & his family could build from the ground up. In 1972, Rich and family members started selling & servicing campers in a location north of Grand Island, NE. Rich's dream of giving his children & grandchildren a place where they could spread their wings & see how high they could fly was beginning to come true. In 1974 the family business moved to S. Hwy 281 & was renamed "Rich & Sons Camper Sales" in 1976.

Rich & his family spent most of their waking hours building this family business. They not only spent all week selling & servicing RVs, but on weekends the families would load up a camper & go camping as a Camping Club Sponsor. This was the best of both worlds; spending time with the family plus getting out & promoting the RV Lifestyle. This was a way to get to know the people that had given Rich & Sons a chance to be their dealer. Many changes have occurred over the years. Rich would be proud to see his grandsons, Tony and Nick running the family business while Chuck and Lana are enjoying retirement and their grandchildren.

Over the years of being in business we have made many friends & encourage them to stop in & say hi even if they aren't in the market for a new RV. Rich used to stopsby off & on to have a cup of coffee & say hi to the team that has help build his dream into reality. If you were to ask him if all the hard work was worth it, you'd hear him say, " Darn right, seeing those kids & grandchildren running the business makes me proud!" Rich was very proud to have been a part of starting a business that improves the quality of family life.
